Building on Microsoft’s IAG - Intelligent Application Gateway 2007, one of the biggest needs of the insurance company was to provide a secure access to internal recourses and to the public web site for partners, employees and suppliers.
Based on those needs, we designed 4 Intelligent Application Gateways machines with external connector license that will provides SSL VPN access for highly strategic applications and data to the phoenix organization and also provide client side policy validation and application security.
The applications list include both client server application like complex AS400 applications and web applications like Outlook web access, Share point, internal application development etc …
Microsoft’s Intelligent Application Gateway (IAG) 2007 with Application Optimizers provides secure socket layer (SSL) virtual private network (VPN), a Web application firewall, and endpoint security management that enable access control, authorization, and content inspection for a wide variety of line-of-business applications. Together, these technologies provide mobile and remote workers with easy and flexible secure access from a broad range of devices and locations including kiosks, PCs, and mobile devices. IAG also enables IT administrators to enforce compliance with application and information usage guidelines through a customized remote access policy based on device, user, application, or other business criteria.
